Schools, transport, what’s nearby.

Sherford benefits from excellent connectivity, sitting just 4 miles from Plymouth city centre with direct A38 access for journeys to Exeter and Cornwall. The development includes its own primary school within the community, with Plymouth's secondary schools easily accessible by car or bus. Essential shopping needs are met locally with planned retail units, while major supermarkets in nearby Plymstock provide comprehensive grocery options. Plymouth's Royal Citadel, The Barbican, and National Marine Aquarium offer cultural attractions, while families enjoy easy access to Dartmoor National Park and South Devon's beaches. The area boasts strong transport links including Plymouth railway station connecting to London, Bristol, and the South West. Local dining options are developing within Sherford itself, complemented by Plymouth's diverse restaurant scene. The nearby South Hams villages provide traditional pub dining, while the development's planned town centre will house cafés and eateries as the community grows.
