Welborne sits just north of Fareham, between the South Downs National Park and the Solent coastline — a genuinely appealing spot for walkers and weekend explorers. The village will eventually have its own primary and secondary schools, healthcare and a village centre, but in the meantime Fareham offers a good spread of well-regarded primaries and secondaries, plus Fareham College. Transport is a real strength: junction 10 of the M27 is on the doorstep, linking you to Southampton, Portsmouth and the A3(M), while Fareham railway station runs direct services to Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and London Waterloo. For shopping, Fareham Shoreline centre, Whiteley Shopping Centre and large Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda stores are all within a short drive. Eating out ranges from independent cafés and pubs in Wickham and Titchfield to the restaurants and waterfront bars around Port Solent and Gunwharf Quays.
