Trowbridge, at a glance
Schools, transport, what’s nearby.
Trowbridge combines market town heritage with modern convenience, making it increasingly popular with families and commuters. The town centre offers Asda and Tesco for weekly shops, plus independent shops along Fore Street. For dining, try The Lamb Inn for traditional pub fare or Zorba Greek Restaurant for something different. Education is well-served with several primary schools nearby, including Clarendon Academy rated 'Good' by Ofsted. Secondary options include The John of Gaunt School. Transport connections are excellent - Trowbridge railway station provides direct services to London Paddington in under two hours, plus regular trains to Bath, Bristol, and Reading. The M4 is easily accessible via the A350, making Cardiff and London both achievable for day trips. Bradford-on-Avon and Bath are short drives away for weekend exploration.
