Hessle is a well-established town on the western edge of Hull, best known for the Humber Bridge on its doorstep. The Humber Bridge Country Park — nicknamed 'Little Switzerland' — is a short walk away, with woodland trails, ponds, cliffs and riverside cafés. The town centre has a proper square with independent shops, pubs and restaurants, plus Tesco, Aldi and Asda nearby for the weekly shop, and Kingswood Retail Park a short drive for bigger trips.
