The Pavilions

Banbury is a market town on the River Cherwell and the Oxford Canal, best known for Banbury Cross and the nursery rhyme that made it famous, and still for the spiced Banbury cake. The town centre is about a mile and a half from the development, with a long-running market, independent cafés and pubs alongside the usual high street names, and towpath walks that run right through the middle of town. Spiceball Park gives a big green lung by the river, while Broughton Castle and its moat sit a few miles south-west in open Oxfordshire countryside. Closer to home, a Co-op food store is within easy walking distance for daily shopping, and there's a GP surgery around the same distance away. The nearest primary school is Bishop Loveday C of E Primary, roughly a third of a mile off. Banbury railway station, just over a mile away, runs services towards Oxford, Birmingham and London, and the M40 is close by. Each October the streets still close for the Michaelmas Fair, a charter event that has run for centuries.
