Families are well served by Meden School and several primaries including Hetts Lane Infant and Peafield Lane Academy, with Ofsted ratings worth checking as they change. For transport, the A60 runs straight into Mansfield and up to Worksop, the A1 and M1 are both within half an hour, and Shirebrook station on the Robin Hood Line gives direct trains to Mansfield and Nottingham. Sherwood Forest, Vicar Water Country Park and Clumber Park are all on the doorstep for weekends, and there are good village pubs and Indian and Italian restaurants locally, with Mansfield and Nottingham offering more choice for a night out.
