Padstow is one of North Cornwall's best-loved harbour towns, known as much for its food scene as its coastline. Rick Stein's restaurants, Paul Ainsworth's No.6 and a good spread of pubs, delis and cafés are all within easy reach, with Trevibban Mill Vineyard a short drive inland. For everyday shopping there's a Tesco Superstore on Sarah's Lane, along with independent bakers and butchers in town; larger supermarkets are in Wadebridge, around 15 minutes away. Families are served by Padstow School (primary) with secondary education at Wadebridge School. The Camel Trail runs from Padstow to Wadebridge and Bodmin, ideal for cycling and walking, while the Black Tor ferry crosses to Rock. By road, the A39 links to Wadebridge and the A30; Newquay Airport is roughly 20 minutes and Bodmin Parkway station offers mainline trains to Plymouth and London. Seven beaches, including Constantine and Trevone, lie within a few miles.
