Families are served by local primaries including Scotstown, Forehill and Braehead, with Bridge of Don Academy the main secondary; Aberdeen's independent schools are a short drive across the Don. Day-to-day shopping is easy — an M&S Foodhall, B&Q, Pets at Home and Costa sit at the nearby retail park, Tesco is minutes away via the Parkway, and Aldi, The Range and Dunelm are close to the seafront. For eating out, try Sea, Salt + Sole for seafood or the cafés along the beach front. Ellon Road links straight into the AWPR for Dyce, Westhill and the wider north-east, and regular buses run into Union Street. Union Square and Bon Accord Centre cover city shopping, while Scotstown Moor, Balmedie Beach and the coastal paths handle weekends outdoors.
