Schools, transport, what’s nearby.

Henley-on-Thames is best known for its regatta, riverside pubs and independent shops, and daily life here is genuinely convenient. Gillotts School, a well-regarded secondary, sits less than a mile away, with Badgemore, Trinity and Valley Road primaries also serving the town, plus Shiplake College and other independents nearby. Henley station runs into Twyford for fast connections, putting London Paddington within roughly 49 minutes at best, while the A4130 and M4 make Reading, Maidenhead and Oxford straightforward drives. For food shopping there's a large Waitrose and a Tesco in town, plus a Sainsbury's Local and a weekly farmers' market. Eating out ranges from riverside pubs like the Angel on the Bridge to bistros, delis and coffee shops along Bell Street and Duke Street. Add the Kenton Theatre, the River & Rowing Museum, Chiltern walking routes and golf clubs close by, and it's a town that suits families and commuters equally well.
