Families are well served by Totnes St John's and Grove Primary, with King Edward VI Community College (KEVICC) taking secondary pupils, and Dartington's Park School nearby for those wanting something different. Totnes railway station sits on the main line, with direct trains to Exeter, Bristol and London Paddington, and the A38 is a short drive for Plymouth or Exeter. For shopping, there's a Morrisons and a Lidl in town plus a Sainsbury's superstore, alongside butchers, bakers and greengrocers that people genuinely still use. Eating out ranges from riverside pubs to the Bull Inn and a strong crop of independent bistros. Dartington Hall's estate, the River Dart, and the South Hams coast at Dartmouth and Salcombe are all within easy reach.
