Llanwern sits just east of Newport city centre and is well set up for day-to-day life. Families have a good choice of primary schools nearby, including Llanwern and Ringland options, with Llanwern High School serving secondary-age children and Coleg Gwent within reach for post-16 study. Commuters are well placed: Junction 24 of the M4 is minutes away, giving quick runs to Cardiff and Bristol, while Newport station offers direct mainline services to Cardiff, Bristol Parkway and London Paddington. For shopping, there are large supermarkets at Spytty and Newport Retail Park, plus Friars Walk in the city centre for high street names, independents and a cinema. Newport Sports Village is close by for swimming, athletics and five-a-side, and Llanwern Golf Club is a local favourite. There's a traditional pub within easy reach, and the Wetlands and Usk riverside paths are lovely for weekend walks.
