Schools, transport, what’s nearby.
Carleton sits perfectly positioned between the market town of Penrith and the stunning Lake District, offering residents the best of both worlds. Penrith provides excellent shopping at Penrith New Squares retail park, plus supermarkets including Tesco, Morrison's, and Booths. The town's mainline railway station connects directly to London, Manchester, and Glasgow, making commuting surprisingly straightforward. Local schools include Carleton Community Primary School and nearby Penrith Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, both well-regarded options. The area boasts lovely countryside walks, with Carleton Hill offering panoramic views across the Eden Valley. For dining, Penrith offers everything from traditional pubs like The Agricultural Hotel to contemporary restaurants. The M6 motorway is easily accessible, while the Lake District's attractions are just a short drive away.
