St Fagans is one of Cardiff's most attractive western suburbs, best known for St Fagans National Museum of History with its free-to-enter parkland and historic buildings. Plymouth Great Wood and the Ely Trail give easy walking and cycling routes, while the Plymouth Arms is the classic local for a Sunday lunch. Families have plenty of choice, including Pentrebane and Radyr primaries, Welsh-medium Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr, Cantonian High and the well-regarded Bishop of Llandaff CIW High School. Fairwater and Waun-gron Park stations sit on the City Line, with Cardiff Central reachable in around 15 minutes; the A4232 link road and M4 junction 33 are both close for drivers. For shopping, Culverhouse Cross has a large Tesco Extra and Marks & Spencer, with Sainsbury's and Asda stores nearby. Llandaff village, Pontcanna and Cardiff city centre add independent restaurants, cafés and bars a short drive away.
