For everyday shopping there's a large Sainsbury's and a Marks & Spencer Foodhall nearby, along with Costa Coffee and the independent cafés and pubs of Stoke Gifford and neighbouring Bradley Stoke. David Lloyd Bristol Westbury covers fitness and swimming, and the Mall at Cribbs Causeway is a short drive for bigger shopping trips and cinema.

Several well-regarded primary schools serve the area, with secondary options in Bradley Stoke and Filton. UWE Bristol, the MOD site at Abbey Wood and the Aztec West business park are all major local employers within easy commuting distance.
