Litton Cheney is a genuine Dorset village in the Bride Valley, with a church, a village hall and a well-regarded country pub within walking distance. Thorners Church of England Academy serves the village primary years, with further choice in Burton Bradstock and Bridport, and secondary options including The Sir John Colfox Academy in Bridport and Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester. Day-to-day shopping is easiest in Bridport, around ten minutes west, where you will find Waitrose, Morrisons, Lidl and an excellent independent food scene, plus the Saturday street market. Dorchester, roughly 20 minutes east, adds Tesco, Sainsbury's and mainline rail services to London Waterloo from Dorchester South. The A35 runs close by for Honiton and Poole. For weekends, West Bay, Burton Bradstock's Hive Beach Cafe and the South West Coast Path are all on the doorstep, with Chesil Beach and Abbotsbury a short drive east.
